Morning in the HuntMode Household ~ Breakfast

Breakfast. I remember when I was young and finally put together words have meaning and reflect that meaning in their composition. The big illumination came from “headache.” My head aches. Ah! Breakfast equals break fast. In our household, the emphasis is on “fast.” As in NOW.

I’ve been without a camera for months, making for an impoverished site according to some critics. Well, I’ve got one and I’ve been figuring it out. I have a series of pictures that demonstrate Ella, the Greythound and Elby, That Cat!’s feelings about breaking fast. For Ella, it is her favorite time of day. She makes sure I understand it is feeding time by loud, sharp barks and dancing in the living room. When I agree it is indeed meal time, she joyfully herds me from getting her bowl, to the storeroom closet and back across the room to where her bowl rests up high to ease the strain on her neck. Elby has learned to just wait out Ella’s mad scramble, but has the same herding instinct and chases me into the kitchen, back to the dining room table where he eats.
